If I took the restraints off my thoughts
I wonder where I would end up
What pathways would they lead me down?
What fantasies would they indulge?
I know myself ā
they would take me along paths
full of potholes and dangers
Iād stumble on the freedom ā
trip over every feeling
pursue every desire in my view
Iād enjoy everything
without a care for consequence
give up any resemblance of self-control
Iād dream it all
I would do it all
Iād take it all
Iād take
take
take
until, I was wildly out of control
My ājust this onceā daydreams
would be the death of me
Luckily, thoughts are simply thoughts
thereās no need to indulge
Iāll keep the restraints
firmly in place
and leave those thoughts on hold
omg I love this, just what I needed this morning……. the spark in this, the originality…has your DNA all over it, as it should!

Letting our thoughts run wild in the safe space between our ears, is liberating. A lovely read Bree! š

I tried not over edit this one Navin. I’m sure I’d write it differently next week, but sometimes you have to let a poem have its way.
