What tenderness is this
that I find in your hands?
I thought it was found
in books and movies
fantasies and fiction
Yet, the gentleness in your touch
and the kindness in your words
leaves my soul smiling
The way your fingertips
brush on my skin
helps heal all
that was once broken inside me
I never even knew it was possible
to experience such a love
as tender as yoursΒ β
this tenderness
is exactly what my heart needs
way to start a poem! “what tenderness is this / that I find in your hand” …… thats smooth!

Tenderness is in short supply these days.
Completely able to relate “I thought it was found
in books and movies
fantasies and fiction”
Well penned, Bree.
