Here I am again
staring at a blank page
fatigue leaning over my shoulder
ready to snatch the words from my tired fingers
What words will I not write today?
What emotions will I abandon to the ether?
Every artist struggles
as we balance creativity with capacity
and I find myself
lamenting over all the words I have not written
all the phrases that escaped my capture
Fatigue snarls –
its dizzying breath hot on my neck
“I’ll have those thank you very much”
scooping up my thoughts and flinging them into the wind
There are many words I will not write today
We’ve all been there, and I like your ending with fatigue scooping up your thoughts and scattering them.

Thanks so much Brad. I hope someone else manages to capture those scattered thoughts haha.

So relatable, Bree, thanks for putting this into poetic form. Also, there may be many words you have not had the chance to write – but there will be many more still to be captured by your beautiful writing.

I get you Bree…can relate…I also know that you write what you feel…coz it’s all abt expressing…some words might fly away…but many will become your beautiful poetic expressions…this poem is so well expressed ✨💜💫
