If I saw you today
I know we’d exchange smiles
remembering
all we shared
and all we left unsaid in those years
Our eyes would betray
secret longings for a life
together
where we would have enjoyed
more than wistful memories
of our unspoken love
Great writing Bree. I’m sure many people can relate to this one. My eyes have betrayed me any many turns.

Oh thanks Tom. I appreciate your thoughts and yes… Eyes can be very rebellious at times, revealing what we want to stay hidden.

Wow, Bree! I really loved this! It is Awesome. Your audio narration was super!
Just saw a news segment on the tight shutdown going on in your country. Is that still the case? Hoping it is keeping you safe and healthy, My Dear!!

Oh Chuck, what a lovely comment to read π It’s a little poem, but I glad it still made an impact.
Yes the lockdowns/shut downs are crazy here. I am not in one atm (thank goodness), but it’s likely that one is coming… again π

Wonderful things come in little packages! You really captured what so many people have experienced or wondered about. Really Super. Happy to hear you aren’t in a lockdown now. But as you say, could be around the corner! At least your politicians are intelligent enough to believe scientific facts. Ha!
