I know we’d exchange smiles
remembering
all we shared
and all we left unsaid in those years
Our eyes would betray
secret longings for a life

where we would have enjoyed
more than wistful memories
of our unspoken love

Yes the lockdowns/shut downs are crazy here. I am not in one atm (thank goodness), but it’s likely that one is coming… again 🙄
