I appreciate reading your thoughts Navin, they always cause me to reflect. I guess I would consider if hope and expectation are the same thing? I don’t believe they are, but they’re certainly linked. My next thought is that everyone as some kind of expectation whether it’s of society, governments, relationships, health, but then… I don’t know everyone, I might be wrong. I read a book a few years ago called The Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga which I think touches on this topic when it comes to interpersonal relationships. Annnnyway, see what happens haha. I get curious and start to unravel the threads of thoughts you send my way. Thank you my friend 🙂
You’re right…somewhere hope & expectation are linked…but they aren’t the same as I see them…I feel it as well, that everyone has some kinda expectation…that’s OK…but if our (as in humans) structure / existence is based on expectations from others…be it society or humans…then who are we?…are we creating something?…do we have a purpose?…or are we simply taking the space to create mystery in our & others’ lives…how interesting – the book that you mentioned…haha, it’s lovely that you shared your beautiful thoughts…look at me, I reflected on your fine lines…sending love, my friend ✨💟💫
Thank you Jeff 🙂 Also FYI, I found your comment in my spam folder. It’s been happening a bit to me recently, but recovered this one within reasonable time.
Disappointment makes the heart grow cold.
