Bravery

You encouraged me right when I wasn’t I should do this.
I took your words and pressed them to my frantic heart.
You reminded me that bravery is allowed
And bravery has its own rewards.

So I opened up and pour out what was hidden and packed away.
In doing so I discovered so much about myself.
If you had never said those few words I may not have continued.
My bravery may have been left sitting on the floor.

But you did, so I did as well.
I’m ever so glad.
I really am grateful for you
And my bravery is too.

Dedicated to my first few poetry Cheerleaders. Your encouraging words helped me push on and realise I had something worth sharing. I am so grateful for you. To those of you who read my words today, I am truly humbled and appreciate your encouragement more than you know 💜

ANNOUNCEMENT: I anticipate taking a break from WP for the rest of December. If I ‘disappear’ for a few weeks, I am wishing you a Merry Christmas and I’ll ‘see’ you in the New Year.

So insightful and moving! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Do Not doubt your inner voice and the need to share it.       1. You cannot know how happy I am that you “heeded” the encouragement from your cheerleading supporters to be Brave and to Believe and press forward!! I think I signed onto that letter from the team! When you hear that voice in your head you just need to get used to saying, “Shhhh”!
