Dilemma

100 word story

I lay in bed starring at the ceiling, sorting through my feelings in the comfort of darkness. A flip-book of emotions plays before my mind. I get to the end and play it again, checking I’m not misreading what I see there. It’s as I feared, your name is the tmesis between my every thought. I have somehow ingrained you into my being and I can no longer deny it. I know teenaged hearts are vulnerable to love, but I never thought I’d fall in love with my best friend. Now I must hid it from you and your girlfriend.
