A different drink

Intoxicated without a drink
Inhibitions melt like ice
Alone here in this room with you
It’s a lover’s paradise

I fall into your open arms
Your love like Dionysus
I never want to leave your side
I pray gods protect and hide us

I take a taste and just one more
One sip will never suffice
Every time I drink you in
It’s my soul that pays the price

I’ll raise a glass to you my Love
Our lips will share sweet ‘cheers’
Like wine I know that we’ll become
More potent through the years

Dionysus is the Greek god of wine (plus winemaking, grape cultivation, fertility, ritual madness, theatre and ecstasy)

      1. I guess in the end I don’t really mind. I even get Benny or Benji. Just whatever is fine. Thanks for asking. You’re sweet!
