Fall into me

It’s OK, you don’t have to pretend to have it all together for me.
If you fall, I won’t abandon you.
Your pain doesn’t scare me as easily as you think.
I have my own pain too.
And in that moment, when you are deciding if you should tell me everything,
just remember that your strength is not in being perfect, but in being who you truly are.
For I cherish you for your soul, not for how well you can keep everything in order.
There are no awards for toughing it out alone.
That is a false kind of bravery to me.
It is you I love, not your ability to hold up a fake smile.
For I want you and all your different coloured thoughts.
So take those walls down, this space between us is sacred.
It is stronger than the pain in your lungs, it is deeper than the secret fears in your mind.
I have my own fears too.
You don’t have to pretend. You are sheltered here with me.
For I will love you in every moment, in every movement of your heart.
Fall if you need to, but fall into me.
And I promise to fall into you too.
