I romanticise your pen and paper –  
all the words they spill and carry

There’s pleasure in imagining you 
chewing on your lip  
as you match letters and emotions together

You shuffle the words with an expert hand 
dealing them into exquisite sentences

I’m entranced by the artistry 
caught up in the romance –  
I fall in love with the language of poets 
and how they can make you swoon 
over everyday moments
