Dandelion love

Imagine from Pexels library

I’m not looking for dandelion love
Although bright and beautiful
To place one’s hope in dandelions
Would leave one as a fool

They last only a moment
Changing form and floating away
Whimsical, but fleeting
Never there at the end of the day

No, I’m not looking for dandelion love
The love I have is best
It took years and weathered storms
Has withstood many a test

Growing with each season
In the sun and in the shade
It outshines any dandelion
And it’s nothing I would trade

      1. I picture the love I have as something stable and steadfast. Something that takes time to grow, but still breath-taking… And yes almost remains the same. I’ll take that over a bright, pretty something that would only last a moment in time 😊

      1. I finished it πŸ™‚ Not sure when I’ll post, but keep your eyes out. I wrote it as another 100 word story. I had so many ideas for this one, but just went with the first one that came to me πŸ’œ

      1. Only problem is now everyone can see this conversation and if I use my new word/sentence it won’t be as exciting. Maybe they can just shut their eyes and pretend not to know anything πŸ˜‰
