Bring out the foxes

I had a few melancholy thoughts, thinking of all I am not.

Luckily I remembered

That sometimes I’m a stone cold fox

So I felt a bit better

And I decided to channel that side of me instead.

Can I get an ‘amen’ from my sister foxes?

Oh how I love you.

Come on ladies, take a wild run with me

We’ll have fun being untamed together.

And if you’re not quite sure you have it in you

Let me tell you that my foxy eyes (yeah I said it) can see yours shining in the fading light.

So bring out your inner Stone Cold Fox

There no competition here

Just us and freedom to share that side of ourselves.

The night is drawing near, so come on out

Throw off your melancholy or insecurities or whatever might be keeping you contained.

Hear me calling the evening call

And bring out the foxes

It’s time we had a rave.

For my fellow foxes and the foxiest one of all, who is actually a tigress or so she says 😻. No vaulting this one, it has an untamed mind of its own.

      1. So much to say and yet so much has to stay unsaid. Wait, that could be the first line of a poem, whoop! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

    1. Haha, that is hilarious! It you ever see the Fox emoji (🦊), I started using it after I wrote this poem. It’s basically a sign of which ‘writing muse’ was in control at the time 😜
